How to Place Your First Order
Ordering from Custom Needs is simple. Here's how to find what you're looking for and complete your purchase in just a few steps.
Step 1: Browse the Store
From the homepage, you have a few ways to find the right item:
- Click "Get Your Hoodie" to go directly to our featured product
- Browse our t-shirt collection by community (Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Physical Disability) or by role (self-advocate, mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, teacher, therapist)
Step 2: Select Your Item
Once you find something you love, choose your size and any other options, then click "Add to Cart."
Step 3: Complete Your Purchase
If you are all done shopping, open your cart by clicking the bag symbol at the top right corner of the screen. Next, click “Check Out” and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your shipping and payment information. Then click “Pay Now.” That's it!
Step 4: Check Your Email
You'll receive an order confirmation in your inbox shortly after purchase. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.

How to Measure
- Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder straight down to your desired hem point
- Width: Measure across your chest just below your armpits
When in doubt, size up for a relaxed fit.
Caring for Your Custom Needs Apparel
Our products are printed using Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing on premium blanks — Champion hoodies and Bella & Canvas tees — built to last when cared for properly.
Hoodies
- Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle with mild detergent
- Non-chlorine bleach only if needed
- Tumble dry low or hang dry
- Cool iron inside out if needed
- Never iron or dry clean the decoration directly
T-Shirts
- Machine wash inside out on cold (max 30°C / 90°F)
- Non-chlorine bleach only if needed
- Tumble dry low, iron or steam on low
- Do not dry clean
Why inside out? DTG printing bonds directly to the fabric. Washing and drying inside out protects the print and keeps your design looking sharp wash after wash.
